BRRR!

The magical story of a penguin called Steve who doesn't like the cold!

Directed by Mary Swan, devised by the company, from an original idea created by Mary Swan, Umar Butt and Becky Barry
BRRR! The magical and heartwarming story of a penguin called Steve who doesn’t like the cold! Steve has a problem; a very peculiar problem… and he needs your help. You see, Steve is cold, very, very brrr! – cold, but why is that such a peculiar problem?
Well, Steve is a penguin!
BRRR! is the charming tale of Steve, an Antarctic penguin who doesn’t much like the cold, and his magical journey to warmer climes to visit his cousins in sunny South Africa. But how will he get there? It’s too far to waddle and Steve can’t fly.
Thankfully, Steve has a ukulele and the help of some wonderful friends, including a rather strange creature who falls from the sky right into his garden.

A cosy treat for children aged 3-7 and their families, BRRR! is a mix of spectacular visuals and audience interaction, with mesmerising aerial performances created by Lorraine Moynehan, choreographer of the London 2012 Paralympics opening ceremony.

BSL signed throughout, the show is also suitable for children with learning difficulties and for those where English is not their first language.

When a two and a half year old little girl's attention span exceeds 45 minutes, you know something special is going on!
