RB Promotions in association with Proteus presents The Basingstoke Music Initiative featuring De’Lour// All Ears Avow// Bitchin’ Hour// Ind!go

De’Lour
Hailing from South Wales, sad Nu-Gaze 5-piece De’Lour will be joining us for the first time in Basingstoke. If you are a fan of dark melodies, big breakdowns, soaring choruses and epic tunes then our headliner set is going to blow you away!
De’Lour’s current single Dreamcrusher is out now and you can listen here

All Ears Avow
No stranger to Basingstoke – either as part of All Ears Avow or past projects, this talented bunch have pretty much become a staple to our scene. All Ears Avow return to the ‘Stoke for the first time since 2018. Their music has been championed by Radio 1 Introducing and Kerrang! to name but a few.

All Ears Avow are a pop-rock outfit from Wiltshire consisting of Claire Sutton on vocals and Guitar, Jake Willcock on Guitar, Joe Bishop on Bass and Sean Ivens on Drums. The band have relentlessly toured, creating an unforgettable live show. Their brand new single ‘Sinking’ was released at the end of March. Take a listen!

Bitchin’ Hour
UK hard rock band from the South East Bitchin’ Hour return in their new form with the addition of two Bitchin’ Boys. Still just as gay and still as in your face, Bitchin’ Hour stands for LGBTQ+ rights, witchy shit and the right for everyone to feel safe no matter where they are.

Taking things down a heavier road, Bitchin’ Hour are out to prove that glitter makes the breakdowns slap harder! If you like loud, if you like to rock and if you don’t need to operate heavy machinery for work, BH are your absolute dream band. Or as Trading Standards have recommended we say: absolute nightmare.

Ind!go
Come down and support up and coming local talent. Ind!go are a new indie pop-rock band from Basingstoke who formed whilst at Queen Mary’s College and are now releasing their own original music.

About The Basingstoke Music Initiative

The Basingstoke Music Initiative (BMI) is dedicated to igniting and rekindling the town’s love of independent music. Our mission is to empower and uplift emerging, young talents whilst nurturing the growth of seasoned local musicians.
We will be offering mentoring programs for musicians, as well as those aspiring to thrive in the music industry, including managers, agents, PR specialists, and promoters. We recognise the value and importance of live music in the cultural life of our communities and aim to create a sustainable ecology through this grassroots approach. We’ll curate a series of live performances, festivals, and gigs that highlight both fresh young talent and established local artists, by bringing the community together in the shared experience of live music.
We have an ambition over the life of this project to unlock the hidden talent in our educational establishments, and to establish new venues for music in the Borough, making Basingstoke a destination for audiences and musicians.
The Basingstoke Music Initiative is supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Are you a local band or musician or interested in getting involved in some other way?
The Basingstoke Music Initiative aims to help up and coming bands, musicians or solo artists to forge a career in the music industry through mentorship, industry networking, affordable/subsidised rehearsal space and opportunities to play live alongside established/experienced artist.
