Join us for a gorgeous night of live Folk, Americana and Country music headlined by Dolly Mavis, in our intimate and atmospheric venue.

As ever the BMI gigs bring you a mixture of established acts on the ascent and will introduce you to new artists, fresh on the scene and lots of local talent too!

Fresh from appearances at Glastonbury, Wychwood, Camper Calling and The Long Road, Dolly is touring the UK playing songs from her stunning debut album ’The Calm And The Storm’.

Beneath Oxfordshire’s starry skies on the echoes of South Wales, Dolly Mavies serenades under a harvest moon, weaving tales of life’s mysteries.
Her melodies enchant the soul, and her lyrics deliver a visceral punch. ‘The Calm and The Storm,’ her eagerly awaited debut album, has garnered critical acclaim and secured support from BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music as one of Tom Robinson’s favourites, and Absolute Radio as Artist of the month.

Laura Beckwith

We are really excited to welcome Laura Beckwith to the Creation Space as a local artist!

UK singer-songwriter Laura Beckwith is a upcoming country-pop artist. Her music is a combination of country style lyrics and catchy pop hooks taking inspiration from artists such as; Maren Morris, Ingrid Andress and some older 70’s/80’s music. So far, Laura has secured national radio play, a No.13 single on the Country charts, over 650k views online and consistent support BBC Introducing. Check out Laura’s music here.

Laura may be a familiar face to some of our audiences as she occasionally coaches a local children’s singing class at Proteus Creation Space!

Margarita Sleepover

Margarita Sleepover’s sound is a cocktail of midnight melodies, characterised by powerful yet nuanced vocal delivery that conveys vulnerability and strength from thought provoking sentiments. Back by popular demand, we first welcomed Margarita Sleepover to our debut acoustic night back in Autumn’ 23, and we can’t wait to see her perform again

Hailing from Guildford, this 5 piece band create timeless, harmony driven, indie-folk-pop music…not only this but they also have fabulous hair. Citing Fleetwood Mac, Crowded House, Goo Goo Dolls and Phoebe Bridgers as inspiration, they will slot right in with the vibe of this live music night!

Broken Windows

We are proud to introduce Female-led band Broken Window for their live music debut! This newly formed band of talented Basingstoke musicians, met at Queen Mary’s College and are taking to the stage for the first time at our June gig…make sure you give them the warmest of welcomes!
