Glass Closet is a new, queer-focused cabaret that features a lineup of amateur performers local to Basingstoke.
Glass Closet is all about showcasing the vibrancy of our town’s LGBTQ+ community, with the ambition to make performing more accessible for all, in this night of silly, sexy fun.
Our inaugural cabaret night on Friday 10th October will bring together talented queer cabaret performers making their stage debut, alongside some familiar faces from our Proteans community theatre group, as you have never seen them before!
Expect the unexpected, come and show your support at this grassroots night of homegrown talent.
Line Up Confirmed so far:
Mange Slaunchwise – A drag act and your MC for the night, he’ll be bringing a little bit of murder-folk flair to the stage!
Betsie Bardot – A burlesque dancer, who brings a little bit of alternative to the classic pinup. She can’t wait to bring you some spooky, cheeky fun!
Scolinocis – A drag artist who is the living embodiment of cuteness aggression wrapped up in a stylish lab coat. They live for weirdness and just can’t wait to meat you!
SHOW INFO:

Are you a queer performer looking to perform locally?
Glass Closet is also keen to hear from locally based LGBTQ+ cabaret/burlesque performers who want to bring their act to the stage in an inclusive and welcoming venue. Do you have a spooky ‘tight 5’ you’ve been dying to try out? Maybe you’ve got a band that has some new singles, or you’re a budding contortionist? Acts of all kinds are encouraged to get in touch with their ideas: Glassclosetcabaret@gmail.com
