Discover the artist within you is a mixed media art class for all abilities; from complete beginners to more experienced amateur artists. The aim is to have fun and enjoy making art while developing and improving your own skills.
Tutor Jessica Mann will help you to learn, evolve your own style and produce work that you’re proud of.
We draw and paint using any medium you prefer: pencil, watercolour, charcoal, pastel, acrylic and, for the more experienced, oil paint if you wish.
Our subjects will include drawing from still life, landscapes, seascapes, street scenes, portraits and animals. We will look at famous artists whose work we admire and learn from them.
Please bring your own materials.
The classes operate on a termly basis. Generally terms last 10 weeks, payment required in advance at point of sign up.
Can’t make Tuesday? The class also runs on Wednesday mornings.
About the tutor
Jessica lives locally and is an artist with a first class honours degree in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art. She has exhibited her work regularly at various venues around the UK including the Tate Modern in London. As well as being a painter, she also teaches creative writing to Fine Art students. She particularly loves to help people to discover their own artistic abilities and gain pleasure from making art.
