ABOUT THE SHOW
‘THE BAND’, is a captivating dance theatre show which uses an alchemical mix of physical comedy, acrobatic movement with stunning visuals to tell a tragi-comic story of desperate ambition and blind affection. Sandy and Bruno met in the seventies and formed a band: she was fame hungry, he was doomed to follow her. But like so many one-hit wonders, through time they’ve been cruelly forgotten; washed up on the scrap heap. Now, they are opening the skeleton cupboard, dusting off old costumes and preparing for one final gig. Is this their last chance for fame? Only the audience can decide. This is a story about love, failure, illusion, drama, glitter and tenderness.
Performed and devised by Levantes’ artistic director Eleni Edipidi with charismatic performer Nathan Johnston, each brings their own unique physicality to the work.
The show brings together a company of high-calibre artistic voices; mixing some long-term collaborators who are familiar with our style and artistic objectives, with fresh new talent to achieve the highest quality performance.
Tickets available from wegottickets.com or in person from the Creation Space. Please note that we are unable to reserve tickets or take bookings over the phone.
