I Am Jane Half Term Workshop
Tuesday 30th May, 11am - 5pm
Suitable for ages 13+
Did you know that Jane Austen was born and lived in Hampshire, less than ten miles from Basingstoke? What do you think she would make of 21st century Hampshire? Are her themes of fashion, marriage, love and gender politics still relevant to young women in today's society? We want you to create a piece around your ideas, which will then be made into a short film.
During the day, you will get to work with three professional artists; Hampshire Poet 2016, Isabel Rogers, theatre practitioner, Sarah Brown and film maker Ben Mills. There will be an exclusive showing of the work producced during this workshop at The Anvil in June.
All participants will have the opportunity to complete a Bronze Arts Award as part of this workshop.
This workshop is free and is suitable for children aged 13 and above. Places are limited and on a first come, first served basis, so to register please email Sarah on firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday 20th May, 10.30am - 11.30am
Cost: £8 per child
Suitable for ages 7 - 11 years
A great opportunity for children to have a go at static trapeze!
Classes are kept to just 7 children, so that each child has individual time on the trapeze. Additionally, children will be guided through a joint-mobilisation warm up and a cool-down with stretching.
Please note that arms and legs must be covered and parent(s) must remain in the building during the class.
Pre-booking required. Tickets available from wegottickets.com or from the Creation Space. If you would like further information, please contact Jodie Hoffman on 07854 060713 or JodieLM4@hotmail.co.uk.
